According to French reports, Arsenal picked Lion forward Moussa Dembele as one of their top transfer priorities.
The striker has scored 10 goals in 18 league 1 matches this season and is described as a “glorious player” by Kieran Tierney, who was a Celtic teammate.
With Arsenal facing the possibility of losing one or both of Pierre-Emeric Obameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, the Gunners need to identify potential substitutes.
French publisher Le10Spot reported that Dembele has topped the Lille competition with 33 goals in total since signing a 19 million contract with Celtic in August last year.
In Celtic, Dembele played for the same team as Tierney, who joined Arsenal last summer to earn 24M.
Another player from France that Arsenal is watching is Lille defender Gabriel.
The Gunners have been scored 27 goals in just 18 games in the dismal first half of the season when Unai Emery was replaced.
The new manager, Mikel Arteta, took command at Emirates and expects to support his back line in January.
