Dr. Dre proved his power once again.
Dr. Dre was ranked No. 1 on Forbes’ ranking of the highest-earning musicians of the decade.
Dre topped the list with $950 million, which is a great shame considering his lack of musical compositions in the last four years. Most of this income comes from businesses associated with it.
Twenty percent of his 10-year income came from the headphone business, which was acquired by Apple for $3 billion in 2014.
Meanwhile, Jay-z and Diddy were among the top 10 in the rankings.
The rankings are as follows.
10. Lady Gaga $500 million
9. Katy Perry $530 million
8. Paul McCartney $535 million
7. JAY-Z $560 million
6. Elton John $565 million
5. Diddy $605 million
4. U2 $675 million
3. Beyoncé $685 million
2. Taylor Swift $825 million
1. Dr. Dre $950 million
Dr. Dre is engaged in a variety of activities on his own property. In 2017, he donated $10 million to the Compton High School Art Center in his hometown.
But apart from his success as a businessman, fans want him to release his music work. The good news is that Kanye West said he was working with Dr. Dre on a follow-up to “Jesus is King” in 2020. I don’t know how far the work has progressed, but I look forward to seeing Dr. Dre’s work in 2020, just as he has kept his Christmas promise.
